Unforeseen is an exhibition of photographic work by artists Catherine Cloran, Niki Gudex, Chris Round, Rosalie Nilson and Zorica Purlija. Presented by the wonderful Sandy Edwards of ArtHere.
Niki was selected as a ‘Portrait Prize semi-finalist’ with her work on view as part of the Head On Portrait Prize exhibition, at the Museum of Sydney, Australia, 2 May – 8 June 2015.
Exploring the frameworks of the beauty image, Niki photographed model Georgia McGlennon in the studio, with hair and makeup by Giorgia Skye. Niki photographed Georgia twice, in order to use photographic images of the model as a mask over her own self.
“Niki Gudex’s sensual image Water #1 is included in the ‘Black Eye Gallery Summer Show’ curated by Sandy Edwards. The exhibition showcases the work of twenty four local photographic artists who have been inspired by the warmth and long days of the unique Australian summer.”
Niki has joined the BikeWise team as an instructor. “Niki is a wonderful instructor and works across both our City Cycling courses and Junior cycling program. Her impressive bicycle sportsmanship regularly wows the kids and encourages them to improve on their ‘skid work’.”
“Summer sports are full of gorgeous women, so quit hanging out on the sidelines. The world-class athletes on these pages have our attention for two good reasons: Not only do they look great, but they also know what it takes to succeed physically – and they want you to keep up with them.”
Niki was involved with the “In Good Company” clinic held at The Object Gallery in Sydney, Australia. It was run to promote and foster young talent in Urban Design. Looking at “Design in everyday life, exploring either coffee, cycling or food.”
In what’s been a smokin’ start to 2010, Niki has been named by G4TV as their number one hottest summer athlete. Niki edged out beauties such as Danica Patrick and Ana Ivanovic to finish numero uno in a genetically blessed top ten. “So as long as Niki Gudex is riding, spandex will still have a place on this earth”
