Niki was involved with the “In Good Company” clinic held at The Object Gallery in Sydney, Australia. It was run to promote and foster young talent in Urban Design. Looking at “Design in everyday life, exploring either coffee, cycling or food.”
After two highly successful years, Niki is proud to present her third signature Niki Gudex line with Castelli. Niki’s multifaceted career as a professional mountain bike racer, model and graphic designer shows that everything is possible. With stylish women’s performance, Niki takes the fashionable, colorful and feminine 2009 Niki Gudex collection to an even higher level.
“I am really excited to be able to put together my own signature line. I race hard and I train hard, so I really wanted to design something that not only delivered technically but something that was also playful and fun to wear.” Niki Gudex
Niki has again added a personal touch to her latest bikes, designing the spectacular looking graphics.
After a highly successful first year, Niki is proud to announce the second year of her signature Niki Gudex line with Castelli, the half century-old cycling apparel maker from the Dolomites in Northern Italy. Thank you to the fans who sent in beautiful pictures wearing her designs and show their support.
Niki designed some playful graphics for her bikes. “I wanted to look at my bike and feel excited to go ride it, even in the pouring rain! So the colours are bright and fun.”
Castelli recently added a trio of powerful marketing tools – a graphic and fashion designer, professional cyclist, and a stunningly photogenic model. Luckily for Castelli, all the talent is wrapped up in one person: Australian mountain bike racer Niki Gudex.
In May this year, Gudex’s work was included in the 2003 Hatched National Graduate Exhibition at Perth Institute for Contemporary Arts as one of the top sixty six Visual Arts graduates in Australia.
The Hatched National Graduate Show is a curated showcase of new art from Australia’s top graduates. Continuing to be the only national survey of its kind, this year’s Hatched features sixty six of the most promising artists fresh out of seventeen art schools from around Australia. Hatched has become a rite of passage for Australia’s next generation of artists and a snapshot of the directions we can expect in emerging contemporary practice.
Niki recently graduated with Distinction from her Bachelor of Creative Arts degree, majoring in Graphic Design and New Media. She is very pleased with her results and is looking forwards to racing internationally now that her calendar permits.
