The first inaugural Cape to Cape MTB takes place in Western Australia’s Margaret River region from 22nd to 25th October, 2008. Set to an iconic backdrop of world-famous surf beaches, private farmlands, rocky outcrops and national forests, the Cape to Cape MTB is a four-day mountain bike journey covering roughly 175km of bush and beach tracks along the coastal ridge from Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse in Augusta to Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse in Yallingup. The beautiful alpine terrain of Livigno, Italy, played host to Oakley’s successful women’s only four day MTB camp, where Niki was joined by fellow coaches Sari Jörgensen and Karen Eller. Niki’s tips and advice to the group of aspiring mountain bikers helped the girls improve their riding skills, while everyone including the coaches had a great time.
As a guest coach, Niki provided specialist one on one mountain bike training and led group rides, with all kids benefiting greatly from the unique eight day experience at Canada’s legendary Whistler Bike Park. The Oakley week at the Camp of Champions attracted a town packed full of aspiring young thrill seekers all keen to learn new skills on their mountain bikes, skis and snowboards.
Niki has again added a personal touch to her latest bikes, designing the spectacular looking graphics.

Niki designed some playful graphics for her bikes. “I wanted to look at my bike and feel excited to go ride it, even in the pouring rain! So the colours are bright and fun.”

These two entities may seem at different ends of the cycling universe but the lifestyle dirt rider and the Elite Spanish road outfit come together where the dirt meets the road under the Scott Bicycles and Hutchinson sponsorship umbrella.
Castelli recently added a trio of powerful marketing tools – a graphic and fashion designer, professional cyclist, and a stunningly photogenic model. Luckily for Castelli, all the talent is wrapped up in one person: Australian mountain bike racer Niki Gudex.
Scott USA announced today that it will add mountain bike racer Niki Gudex to its’ family of riders. “It’s so important for us to align ourselves with top level athletes like Niki that can give their input on the Contessa line. The more feedback we get from these riders, the more function specific the category becomes,” said Scott Montgomery.
Niki has signed with the SRM team and will continue her relationship with Intense Cycles for the 2005 season. Niki will focus on the NORBA series, in addition to the Nth American World Cup events, World Championships and of course the Australian National Series and National Championships.
